Care half-day Kids' Club
(for September 3, 2013)
The Northville Public Schools Early Childhood Education and Extended Day curriculum is child-originated. Our licensed and accredited programs exist to meet the real needs of children, provide them the freedom to enjoy childhood and put their physical, emotional and intellectual well being first. Our programs include child care, preschool classes, parent/child classes, and before & after school care. We recognize and respect each individual's learning style, thought process, and unique developmental level. We know children accomplish their best learning through play and social interaction.
The role of the staff is to create an atmosphere of respect and autonomy; a climate in which there is a balance of reason, choice, trust, safety, spontaneity, appropriate limits and challenge.
Positive guidance techniques are used to help children develop self control and accept responsibility for their actions. Our goal is to help children develop to their fullest potential: confidence in themselves and their ability to learn, willingness to try new ideas, and respect for the rights of others.
